This week we've talked about the aim of education. In this lesson Mina gave us some questions to answer at home and then in class share our opinions.
The first question was that what was the aim of education for each of us. From my pint of view, I believe that education is the basis for a prosperous society. Education is the main part of a human being, your future and your development depend on what you've learned before.
Talking about primary school education, I think that is the first eduction step to achieve maturity, so it is crucial.
I strongly believe that the education that I recieved will play an important role in my way of teaching, because I will teach what I've learned from my teachers, not everything but more than a fifty percent.
Another question was that how would I characterise teaching; as a science, art or craft. According to my experience as a student I believe that is a mix of everything, because you have to deal with everything you know. I see teaching as a exclusive job.
Another question that I found interesting was the reasons that I decided to choose this degree. The main reason is because I've never wanted to be something else, so it's vocational.
We also talked about the word curriculum. Almost anybody knew the right definition. Well, we learned that a curriculum is what a teacher has to teach. We also mentioned the LOE/LOMCE which are spanish laws in which are common goals for every school centre. Then, we have the "Proyecto Educativo del Centro" in where each centre has an objective according to their own values. Finally we have the "Guía didáctica"of every teacher in where you can find their contents, metodology, activities and assesment.
Moving to another topic, we mentioned the factors that affect on a child education, which are his/her family, the government, the school and finally the teachers. From my point of view, I thin that the first education is at home and then at school that education is completed. So, parents play a crucial role in their children education.
To sum up, in this class I learned all the factors and people that affect on a child education.
